Soft gelatin capsules
(Enteric- coated)
Composition:-
Each enteric-coated soft gelatin capsule contains:
100 mg Natural peppermint oil. 100 mg Natural Anise oil .
Properties:-
Mentix serves as a calming agent to soothe an upset stomach and indigestion and is helpful in the following cases:
Irritable bowel Syndrome (IBS):-
Being enteic coated capsules, Mentix capsules help treat symptoms of IBS such as pain, bloating, gas and colonic diarrhea.
Enteric-coated capsules are specially coated to allow the capsules to pass unaffected through the stomach down to the intestine where they disintegrate and release their contents causing relaxation of intestinal smooth muscles particulary those of the colon.
Mentix being composed of anise oil, is used as a sedative for nervousness and to induce sleep,which is one of the main causes of IBS.
Indigestion:-
Owing to peppermint oil being composed mainly of menthol, Mentix calms the muscles of the stomach and improves the flow of bile, which the body uses to digest fats so food passes through the stomach more quickly.
Flatulence:-
Being composed of both peppermint and anise oils Mentix relaxes the smooth muscles and allows the body to rid itself of painful digestive gases espscially after eating beans. Mentix capsules also help prevent fermentation and gas in the stomach and bowels thus relieving bloating and belching after meals. The stimulant and carminative properties of Mentix being composed of anise oil make it useful in flatulence, colic and ease griping.
Gallstones:-
Mentix owing to menthol may help the body break down gallstones providing a safe alternative to surery. Owing to anise oil, Mentix is also used for gall bladder cleaning and is helpful in removing excess mucous in the alimentary canal so it is effective as an intestinal purifier.
Indications:-
1) Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS).
2) Indigestion.
3) Flatulence.
4) Intestinal colic.
5) Gallstones.
Dosage:-
One enteric coated capsule three times per day between meals.
Precautions:-
1) Mentix should not be uesd by those, with Gastro Esophageal Reflux Disease (GERD) a condition in which stomach acids back up into the oesophagus.
2) Mentix capsules should not be broken, chewed or taken immediately after food, not to cause Irritation to the mucous membranes of the mouth, esophagus, or stomach.
Drug interactions:-
No harmful drug interactions had been reported for Mentix.
