It is a trivalent inactivated poliovirus vaccine which is the first and still only WHO prequalified IPV vaccine. It offers protection against poliomyelitis without the risks of VAPP (vaccine-assossiated paralytic poliomyelitis) and VDPV (vaccine-derived poliovirus).
